You can make this review and giveaway!

CLOSED

I have to say that I wandered upon this website a couple months ago. I LOVE the idea of making such cute fashionable stuff for my girls without spending $100 and up. But I was scared! I let my fears steer me away from it. The videos looked easy enough. They swear a beginner can make this stuff. But is it really possible! I am a self taught sewer. I have NEVER been able to read a pattern. Even with the shopping cart covers I have recently sewn, I did my own thing. I bought another pattern that looked easy enough and was very disappointed. So the thought of spending money on yet another pattern that I'd never sew, scared me!

But I'm one to not let my fear get to me for too long. I decided that I am going to do this! Not am I only going to do this for myself but for the other moms out there that want the adorable boutique clothes!

I got the patterns all printed out, cut up and went to town. I took Miss Isabelle to the store and she picked her own fabric. She was incredibly excited. I just had the pieces cut right there. We came home and the pattern was so incredibly easy to read! I made sure I had all the pieces it told me I needed. It was quite helpful. The only problem I had with the pattern at all was the gathering of the dress. I have NEVER gathered before but after 2 minutes, I realized I just needed to make sure the stitch was the right length just like the pattern says!
It also said that it is a great way to work with the kids. I have to say that this was the best part! Isabelle really loved having a huge part in her dress making!
She was quite pleased with the end product as well!

ABOUT YOU CAN MAKE THIS
www.YouCanMakeThis.com was created by a mom who wanted to provide downloadable instructions on how to make just about anything from children's boutique clothing and jewelry, to handbags, home decor and more. What makes the site unique is that these instructions are written by everyday moms who have an expertise in an area. They are written in a way that makes you feel you have a friend sitting right next to you, telling you what to do next. They all have detailed instructions and step-by-step full-color photos so even the most "craft-challenged" person can make these items for their homes and families.

In fact, if you'd like to try out some products for free, you can sign up for their FREE newsletter. After sign-up, you'll receive a link to your email inbox asking you to confirm subscription. The hand-stamped jewelry how-to looks quite fascinating. I make beaded necklaces already, and this would be a creative addition to what I do.

I was looking at the free patterns earlier today and downloaded a few of the patterns. I made a stitch marker this afternoon and it was quick, easy, and the directions were simple to follow!! Very nice pattern and I am going to try the headbands next. I will probably be back to go through the pay patterns, as they are quite easy to follow!
