Santa!!!

Christmas Eve, we went to my dad's for dessert and presents. Santa showed up. The video shows sydnee's reaction. She was soooo excited. We didn't know if she'd scream and be afraid since she's at that age. But she wasn't!


She held her hands and stared in awe as he passed out candy canes and presents. When she got hers, she put it under the tree and went back to staring. Don't mind my dad either, he was getting all the kids excited. LOL

Kambree was sleeping but here is Santa with Sydnee, Isabelle, Ashley and Tristynn. Tristynn is my dad's stepdaughter.

COD 12 - I'm Thankful for

Well this is the last day that we will be having a Christmas of Dreams! So while I wait for my coffee and before I get started cooking, I want to take the time to tell you all the last question and my answer! While most can probably say this is an easy question to answer, I don't believe it is. I believe it requires a little bit more than just a one word answer. So here it goes.

I’m Thankful this Year because….

I have a wonderful husband that loves me with his whole heart. He may not always be perfect but that's one of the reasons I fell in love with him. When he is totally driving me insane, I know that I couldn't imagine it any other way.

I have 4 healthy children. I am grateful that they are all here with me and I can help guide them in the right direction. I am even a little Thankful for their little messes. I know if they weren't here I would even miss those messes! They always make me laugh.

I am thankful that I tested NEGATIVE for the BRCA!!! Need I say more about that!

I am thankful for Stoney's new job! I won't be thankful for the fact that he has to go to the academy for 15 weeks but I know weekends will be fun. I am also thankful that he does get to come home on weekends. I know some women have to go months without their husbands there at all.

I am incredibly thankful for my family. I love them so much. They are all so supportive. Especially my Grandma Linda. She has always been there for me and I know I can always count on her. Michelle is also another person in my life that I know I can always count on. If I need advice, I call them. Which is why I had to name Kambree after both of them, Kambree-Lynn Michelle. I am also thankful that both my parents have seemed to find happiness even if it's with someone else.

DAY ELEVEN QUESTION

Now here’s the tough part, if you could only pick one food to eat on Thanksgiving, what would it be? I know, pure torture! Do you have a home-cooked meal or eat out? Does your family dress up?

Wow ONLY one thing! I have so many to choose from! I look forward to the obvious, pumpkin pie and turkey. But I can't wait for rolls from the Bambi! Oh and Michelle's YUMMY sweet potatoes! Out of everything I would have to probably say her sweet potatoes. They are SOOOOO good!!! We have a couple home cooked meals! This year we will be having THREE meals! I couldn't imagine going out to eat on Thanksgiving. I love being near family! No we don't dress up. We wear something comfortable. I don't want to have to worry about getting clothes dirty. So we are perfectly casual!!

DAY TEN QUESTION

Do you decorate for the holidays? Do you have a themed tree? Share pics! Do you think there is such thing as OVER decorating?

I personally LOVE the Christmas season with all the decorations! I love to look at the Nativity scenes, lights, and much more! Around Christmas I LOVE the whole feeling. I start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving! We love to go cut a Christmas tree after driving around looking for the perfect one! This year we are most likely getting an artificial tree. The way our house is set up, we have a heater in the front room and that's our only source of heat. No heating ducts or anything. So the front room gets way too hot to put a live tree. So we are just getting the fake tree. It will be okay right? LOL Just for one year? Less mess for me! I love to hang stockings and I love to pull out the Christmas decorations we have! We don't do a themed tree but I'm working on having all our ornaments be something special. I don't want any glass bulbs or anything that is just there. I want each piece to mean something. I have some that were given to me from a wonderful swap buddy. I have some that the kids have made. I just love it!

DAY NINE QUESTION

So I want to hear, what is the most unusual gift you’ve received? It doesn’t have to be bad, just unusual.

So question one. Wow the most unusual gift? That is a hard one. I truly love gifts I receive and let's face it, as a parent, I don't get many! Usually the gifts I do receive now are practical and I totally love! I have had some bad gifts that I would have LOVED to get rid of but nothing unusual.

What was one of your favorite gifts?

Hm one of my favorite gifts? I would have to say this year, Stoney bought me a fishing pole! Of course, it was after he forgot my Birthday. But after taking a nap and waking up to a brand new fishing pole, he was forgiven. Yes I am a pretty simple person. LOL I can totally go hang out on the lake with a good book and fishing pole! For me that is a gift of bliss!

Do you think re-gifting is OK?

Sure. :) Sometimes if I get duplicates of something and don't have the reciept, then I will give it to someone else that needs one. Usually I only have that problem with kids' stuff. and Usually I can get the reciept for it. If it is a terrible gift, then I don't regift it. If I don't want it, why would anyone else? LOL

COD Day 7 Naughty or Nice list

Wow have I been a slacker! Ok so I am starting this a TAD bit late! But I am going to get on the ball and start doing this everyday at least try to! Momdot is going to challenge me in a whole new way. :)

Naughty List: Wow right now, my dear sweet husband! He's on the naughty list for making plans with me and getting side tracked for TWO and a half hours! Marty for distracting my husband for the 2 1/2 hours. Beaver county for not being open today so I can get my car registered. Isn't Friday a business day??

Nice List: My girls for now. So it took me a couple times to get them dressed this morning. But I know when I need their help, I will eventually get it. Ashley has improved her grades so much this year that she really deserves to be on the nice list! Isabelle for babysitting Kambree so I can get a 10 minute shower! Sydnee for not beating anyone up today. :) Kambree for not biting me with her fancy new tooth.
