My male surprise

Yes my husband has his romantic moments as you can read in my previous post "Small Talk" but as many who know him, they are pretty rare. I honestly don't remember ONE Valentine's day that he has gotten me anything since we were together. I actually have no expectations in the days counting to this day. I don't want him to feel like he "has" to do anything because that takes all the romance out of it. Of course I can't skip a chance to give my husband a goofy card that tells him just how much he means to me (flaws and all). But this year I decided not to because the look of "oh shit" that he gets on his face because he forgot. He had made plans to "process" the sheep we got. (he is a butcher part time). Then Friday night he said "Oh I forgot tomorrow is Valentine's Day, I can't do that." Well that totally threw me off my game! I told him to go ahead since I had to help the girls with the History fair. When he came home, he handed me the stack of mail. In the middle of the stack was a red envelope. He actually took the time and bought me a card! Without any guilt involved! So the male in my life surprised me!
