I can't believe that it has been nearly 2 months since Stoney went to the academy! It's actually flying by. It does help that he comes home on weekends! I don't know how a lot of wives do it for months without seeing their husbands. But at the same time, it would make my routine a lot easier! Mondays are hard because we have to get back into routine. But it's not taking nearly as long. I have no idea what I'm going to do when he gets home! It's going to be different! I'll actually have to cook dinner and forgo the PB&J sandwiches! Okay so we don't ALWAYS eat the simple stuff but it's much easier when he's gone! I do look forward to having him home everyday again though! I do kind of like him. Which isn't always easy as any married woman can attest to! I am forever grateful for the wonderful man that he is though! I think that this time apart has just bonded us tighter together!

Saying Goodbye
As you know, my husband is attending the police academy. He is gone from Sunday through Thursday. This isn't the first time he has been gone like this. He attended the correctional academy after Sydnee was born. But he said this time is so much harder than before. Sydnee was still newborn while he was gone so he knew he wasn't missing out on much. Now he knows that Sydnee is missing him like crazy all week. She won't leave him alone during the week and goodbyes are really hard. So I wanted to capture this moment with my new vado (thanks newbaby!)

Week 3 already!
Yep that's right! The Mister has been left for another week. Of course, everything that can go wrong will go wrong when he is gone! Moms will never have it easy! I started getting sick on Saturday. While Stoney is gone, I have to feed the horse. Well it got out of the pasture. So you can just imagine, Ashley and me trying to get this horse back into the pasture! Then to top it all off, I got chased by a mouse! I HATE mice, spiders and snakes. Those are the three things that will send me flying! I had a high pressure hose and was on the phone with Stoney when the mouse started chasing me. I just started screaming and spraying it! All Stoney could do is laugh and say "Don't kill Fred!" YEAH RIGHT!
I also realized just how much Miss Sydnee misses her daddy. She came up to me tonight and pointed at his picture on my desk. She said, "daddy call." So we called daddy and she was very excited! It made his day as well.
So among my fun shenanigans, I've got some fun stuff planned for my readers. I am interviewing a couple WAHMs and I can't wait to share them with all of you!

Week 1 of 10 to come
I mentioned in my introduction that my husband is currently attending the police academy. Well today is the beginning. From now until April 30, he will be only home on weekends. He went up last Thursday so he could take his tests on Friday. He passed his physical and Defensive Tactics tests. But has to retake his written tomorrow. We went through this separation in 2006 when he went to the academy for corrections. So hopefully it flies by just as quickly as that did! I really have to give those women a hand that have their husbands gone a lot! I count on Stoney so much! Aside from being my wonderfully sweet husband and working, he takes care of our horse and dogs. He is the one that will run to the store when it's cold. We don't get home delivery either so he goes to the post office so I don't have to drag the kids out. He just makes my life so much easier. He also cooks! When I need a break in the evenings, he plays with the girls, helps with homework and everything! So for the next 10 weeks, things are going to get pretty crazy here as I'm juggling being a part time single mom. He's been gone for 3 hours and I can already feel my brain just get MUSHY! But he did manage to help me by making sure my gas tank is full, we have groceries in the house, and I have chocolate! I told you he was sweet! I will be updating a lot over the next 10 weeks about the craziness. I'm sure there will be a lot of laughs, crying and fantasies of a maid! So stick around and watch what's coming!
