When I was younger, I remember begging for the "cool" cereal that had the coolest toy in it. As a parent, I was excited the first time I seen a book inside the box of cereal! Not just a cheap and corny book, but a quality educational book!

Cheerios has given away more than 35 million children's book in cereal boxes. Cheerios has also donated almost $3 million to First Book, their non-profit partner, which provides books to low-income families.

Cheerios Spoonfuls of Stories New Author Contest

In its third year, Cheerios is looking for anyone interested in writing children's books. This is to encourage previously unpublished, up-and-coming children's book authors and to nurture a love of reading. Entries will be accepted until July 15, 2009. Entrants will be judged on appropriate story and content for children ages 3-8, emotional connection, writing quality, uniqueness, and read-aloud potential. The favorite in our house is definitely Monkey and Me by Emily Gravett. My girls love monkeys! We tell them all the time that they are monkeys. They also love books about animals which is what this book is about. I love that I can read the book in Spanish or English to them.

Spa Time Cozy Care Cape Review and Giveaway!

What do you get when you put 1 active baby in 1 tub of water? One very wet mama! When giving my little ones a bath, I'm constantly getting wet. I get them in the water and they start splashing. Then I have to lean over the tub to wash them up and once again, I am left wet! Then comes the squirming baby while you are trying to keep the towel from slipping into the water. It would be so much easier to get the baby out with some extra hands, but who has those?

I have to say that I was very excited to open a box and find my very own cozy care cape! Look at how cute it looks all bundled up! Of course I had to get the pink one! When taking it out of the packaging, I immediately noticed the unbelievable thickness of the cape! It was also extremely soft! I wanted to curl up in it and just melt!

I couldn't wait to open it up and try it out! I wanted to know just how well this would keep me dry. I also was curious just how easy it was going to be to get the baby "OUT" of the tub!

After trying it on, I realized that maybe the neck could be a little smaller or adjustable. Then I got the girls in the bath and let the fun begin!



After the bath, I was completely satisfied. For the first time, I didn't have to ask for help or get wet while I was struggling with a towel. I was able to get Miss Kam out of the tub and keep her warmly wrapped in the cape. Of course my clothes didn't have a drop of water on them! I took my wrapped baby girl and cuddled for awhile. Simply Breastfeeding DVD Review

I have breastfed my last three daughters exclusively. I did attempt with my first daughter and failed miserably! What led to my failure was my lack of knowledge about breastfeeding. I was told that she was eating too often because she wasn't getting enough. I was told that my milk was not enough by an RN! So I believed it. I started to give her formula. When I began nursing my third daughter, I started researching breastfeeding. I realized that I was lied to. I felt cheated out of my breastfeeding relationship. I went on to successful exclusively breastfeed my next three daughters! I'm still nursing my 9 month old. But the other two nursed for 18 months!

Bummas Review and Giveaway!

As most people know, I am a cloth diaper mom! I love cloth diapers. One of my favorite things to find are wipes that are soft, absorbent and cute! Since I started cloth diapering 6 years ago, I have found that my favorite fabric for wipes are velour. I think they are exactly what I need! Our Routine

Grab a bumma cloth before opening the diaper. Sneak “attacks” are frequent and will happen the second your mind wanders!

Place the bumma over the privates while tending to the other parts. One bumma will soak up an entire pee.

Clean up baby with a regular wipe or wet a bumma and clean up sensitive skin.

Use another bumma to thoroughly dry baby off. Re-diaper.

If the cover bumma gets soaked rinse it off and throw it in the wash.

The payoff- a dry bum, no diaper rash, and no surprise squirts. Save money on diapers, powder, and ointment.

You can wash them and use them again and again.

For Easter, I always like to do something a little different for the girls. Instead of regular baskets, I want to get something that can be used over and over. My friend Valerie, sent a link to this blog. It couldn't have come at a better time! I loved the look of these buckets! I loved that I didn't have to spend $20 on them either! I knew they would be perfect for Easter!

I attempted to order from Renae's etsy shop. I got confused with the ordering, so I just emailed Renae. She was VERY helpful. The customer service was friendly, professional and personable. She didn't treat me like I was just a customer. She treated me like a friend! That spoke volumes to me.
